Pancakes Baby!

So did we all have pancakes yesterday? I hope so! Every year I forget it is pancake day and only ever realise on the day. Then follows a mad dash to the supermarket only to find that the mix is sold out (I know, such a cheat). Cue dissapointment.

My friend and I did just that yesterday. We spent ages trawling the aisles of Asda just to find an empty shelf. Disaster! However, another friend came to the rescue with one of those bottles that you add milk to and then shake. Throw in some toffee sauce and.....beautiful! I did then follow it with one of those small tubs of Ben and Jerry's, the strawberry cheesecake which was gooood!

I'm definitly going to try and make my own next year.

Savoury pancakes are good too. When I was in Tunisia a couple of years ago they did the best ones with cheese in the middle.

In other news, I'm starting to get curious about the Royal Wedding now that we've heard who is designing the wedding dress. It's great that they are using Alexander McQueen (it's such a shame that he isn't alive to design it himself) especially because it is supporting British fashion. I'm curious to know what they will be having for their wedding meal too.

Unfortunatley, I will not be able to watch the wedding, so I'm getting the family to record it for me, as I have booked my next food adventure and I fly on the day of the wedding. I'm going to Oslo, Norway for 4 nights! I'm so excited, I absolutly adore travelling to new places and I can't wait to experience everything that Norway has to offer and to then report it to you lovely readers.

I shall have to do some serious research into restaurants in Oslo. I'm staying in the Radisson Blu Scandinavian which has a bar on the 21st floor with amazing views of the Fjords.

I can't wait to be drinking cocktails in that bar.
